Grief Services for Adults and Families

Counseling and Groups

The Community Hospice's Grief Centers

Grieving family and friends seek a safe place to feel and express their grief while adjusting to their loss and reorganizing their lives.  The Community Hospice provides professional support, education, information and resources to the bereaved in the community, free of charge.

Counseling
Individual and family grief support is available for anyone, of any age.

Support Groups
Each regional office regularly offers a range of support groups.
These may include groups for any type of bereavement, or groups focusing on specific types of losses, such as our widow/widowers "Without My Partner" group, and our "Daughters" group, for adult women who have lost a parent.

Education
Presentations and trainings on a variety of grief and bereavement topics are offered regularly at The Community Hospice, and may be requested by interested groups.  Literature and education materials are always available to anyone.

Community Crisis Intervention
Our bereavement staff are trained to use interventions that assist in the aftermath of a local crisis, such as an accident, suicide, or death, in a school, organization, church, or any community group.

Memorial Services
Personalized ceremonies are offered regularly all sites, for anyone who has passed, regardless if the family has participated in Hospice services.

Our Bereavement Services are free of charge, and available throughout a seven county area.
